Clean room

Location: Room 305, High-energy Optics and Electronics Lab (HOPE lab), National Tsinghua University, Hsinchu, Taiwan

Opening hours: Monday to Friday 9:00-19:00 (In case of necessity, you can discuss with administrator for using clear room outside the opening hours)

Equipment: Mask Aligner, Spectrophotometer, HOOD, Oven, Spin Coater, Microscope, DI water, N2 gas, Ultrasonic Cleaner, Hot plate

Access Policy

You need to swipe the card when entering or leaving the clean room

1. Material restrictions:

Materials allowed to be brought into the cleanroom include:

• Acetone, IPA, methanol, ethanol
• Photoresists and its developer

If you need to bring materials that are not listed above, you have to ask the permit from cleanroom manager.

The chemicals that you use in the experiment and the chemical waste is handled by yourself.

2. Access rules:

User

• Complete a basic clean room training course at which time your access code will be enabled on the clean room cipher locks.
• May use the clean room at any time in opening hours
•  May supervise visitors.
•  Have their own cabinet
•  Are listed on the user list maintained by the Clean Room Manager.
• Users who have not used a clean room for more than 6 months will be locked out the access. Then you have to contact with cleanroom manager if you still need entry to clean room. 
• You have to prepare your own clean room garments

 Visitor

• May enter the clean room under the supervision of a clean room user who is aware of and responsible for their activities.
•  Are restricted from the clean room access during critical activities.
•  Use visitor clean room garments.

General

• Gowning requirements apply to all times using cleanroom
• Anyone performing a non-conforming activity which might jeopardize the normal clean room function must receive advanced approval from the clean room manager.
• Compliance with established safety policy is required at all times.

Fee:

Training fee + card opening fee: 1000 NT

Usage fee:

Charge of Self-Operating

•  10 NT/min, the time is counted between two swipes your card (entering and leaving clean room)
• You also can select the monthly payment with monthly fee is 10,000 NT/ person.

Charge of manfactureing service:

25 NT/min

Booking

• You have to send your email to administrator to get the sharing in google calendar.  
• You have to book the time using equipment in the bellow calendar. Please write down your name, estimated usage time, equipment to be used, and your contact number in the calendar.
